We’ll take time with you, really listen to what you need and figure out how to make it happen. We’ll tell you if what you’re asking for won’t work and why. And our multi-talented print team will take care of your entire job – from copy job to direct mail campaign – so you don’t have to track down multiple vendors or even be a print expert.

In 1992, we started our life as Uptown Copy, making copies and doing a variety of small jobs for students and neighborhood businesses. In 2001 when our ownership changed, the business also went through a metamorphosis. Expanding our equipment and capabilities, we now provide high-quality digital color printing and finishing to the entire Greater Richmond area.

Our people

History of Uptown Color

The business was formerly known as Uptown Copy but was located at this same location.  Back then it was a simple copy shop.

In March, 2001, when it was purchased, the name was changed to better reflect a stronger presence in the market.  Additional space was purchased to accommodate new state-of-the-art equipment and to offer additional services.

The business is built around our core competencies of digital color printing and we continue to be an industry leader in equipment and service.

Uptown Color is locally-owned and operated by a group of investors and employees. We are SWaM-certified and registered with eVA (the Commonwealth of Virginia’s web-based procurement system). We are also very involved with the VCU community and offer our sponsorship to many of the University’s school events.
